When someone hears the words “you have cancer,” life changes instantly. Even surrounded by love and support, the experience can feel incredibly isolating. There are fears, questions, and emotions that are hard to explain and even harder to carry alone.

As someone who has experienced this diagnosis and lost a dear friend to breast cancer, this is why I’m fundraising for Cancer Lifeline.  For six years, I have had the privilege to serve on Cancer Lifeline's Board of Directors and recently finished a two-year term as President.  This year's Fundraising with Friends will be my last as a Cancer Lifeline Board member.  Please help me make it my best one yet. 

About Cancer Lifeline:

For 53 years, Cancer Lifeline has been a steady place to land in the midst of cancer’s uncertainty. They provide licensed counselors who listen without judgment. They offer support groups filled with people who truly understand. They create opportunities for art, movement, and educational classes that offer both practical tools and creative release. And, after our 2025 merger with Harmony Hill, we have the privilege to host retreats where connection deepens and healing can begin.  

Every program is offered free of charge so that cost is never a barrier to support. This level of care is only possible because of community members who choose to give.
