This is my first Fundraising with Friends and its message is deeply important to me. Through my work at Cancer Lifeline, I see every day how much this support matters, how much it can change someone's day, or even their life.
I've answered the Lifeline and spoken with people in moments of real distress, just needing someone steady on the other end of the phone. I've read Patient Financial Assistance evaluations filled with gratitude from participants who received our grant right when they needed it most. I've called donors simply to thank them, only to have them thank us for the good we do. I've watched the sense of community that forms in each class or group, where people show up for one another in powerful ways. And I've walked the halls of the Dorothy O'Brien Center, feeling the weight and beauty of years of impact and care.
This work is real. It's human. It's needed.
I'm working toward a personal fundraising goal of $2,000, and every dollar helps ensure that Cancer Lifeline can continue providing free support, educations, and community to anyone affected by cancer, because no one should have to navigate it alone.
I am truly grateful for any support, big or small, that helps keep this impact going.
